About
the Expo
India crossed 300 GW of non-fossil installed capacity in July 2026, more than 60% of the 500 GW 2030 target thus moving India’s renewable-energy sector from being a policy-supported sector to becoming a mainstream infrastructure and investment sector.
This major growth in sector gives rise to the complete renewable-energy ecosystem — generation, equipment, storage, transmission, power electronics, EPC, financing, O&M, software, forecasting, grid management and energy consumers giving rise to a dedicated B2B platforms in this sector
India’s renewable energy sector has witnessed tremendous growth, supported by the world’s largest renewable energy expansion programme. Solar’s cost competitiveness has also improved dramatically over the past decade, making renewable power increasingly attractive for energy consumption.
India crossed 300 GW of non-fossil installed capacity in July 2026, achieving more than 60% of its ambitious 500 GW non-fossil capacity target for 2030, highlighting the country’s rapid transition towards clean energy.
India added 44.61 GW of solar capacity in FY2025–26, creating significant opportunities not only for solar module manufacturers but across the entire renewable-energy supply chain.
India is progressively increasing its mandatory renewable energy consumption requirements, with the national minimum RE consumption trajectory rising from 29.91% in FY2024–25 to 43.33% by FY2029–30, further driving demand for renewable-energy solutions.
India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem has expanded significantly, with solar-module manufacturing capacity reaching approximately 172 GW by March 2026, compared with just 2.3 GW in 2014.
Renewable energy continues to attract strong investment in India, with approximately US$45.72 billion in FDI attracted between FY2014 and FY2026, reflecting growing investor confidence and long-term opportunities in the sector.
